    96 z-71 project

Whats up everybody. I have a 96 z71 and i would love to have a lsx conversion but i dont have alot of money. my friend is hooking me up with a 96 LT-1 out of a 6-speed TA with port and polished heads, big cam, the computer, and wireing harness for $350.00. I have been reading alot of these threads but i have yet to find one that was compleated with pics and instructions. im a lil confused about the vats thing and what i need to do about it and will my fuel pump work? will my fan and radiator work. what all will i need to do for the swap? Thanks in advanced for any help!!!!!!!!

most ppl on here will recommend an LS based engine swap due to the fact that lt1 is really outdated technology. You can probably find a 4.8 for the same amount of money.

ok i got the LT-1 today, its gonna need a lil more work then i was told....... I gotta clean the whole thing im gonna have the rods and crank turned and im gonna have the heads drilled so i can run my stock vortec intake. I could probly get this all done in a month. but my question to yall is this should i just go on and make a stroker or should i just put it back as a 350 punched .30 over??????? The heads have been sent off to a speed shop and have been put on a flow bench and are maxed out! and it has a fairly aggresive cam in it.

I'd just write the thing off and go get a 6L.
