    4l60 tail shaft swap

My trans blew on my 04 sierra friday and a friend of mine has a good low mile 4l60 with upgrades from an 02 z28. Will it work? will the electrical plug in? what do I need as far seals and such to swap tail shaft? Thanks

You don't have to swap the tail shaft. The shifter selector shaft is shorter than the truck one so it won't accept the shifter selector switch. I haven't done one but I think you can swap it out.

You think I could swap shift levers without removing the valvebody?

Very easy to swap the shift rod and no, you don't have to drop the valve body.

Thats what I wanted to hear. Is the shaft sealed with a seal or an oring?
