Amp Mount location on 01 Silverado Extended Cab

Hey guys. Recently purchased a thunderform box for my silverado which takes up pretty much all the room under the rear seats. I have a sub amp in place where it is supposed to be in the thunderform box. Also wanted to mount a 4 channel amp somewhere and keep the rear seats. What is the best location or most used for a 4 channel amp. Was thinking behind the rear seats but not sure how much room is available. Sub amp fits just fine in the box and clears the seats but i'm stuck on where to mount the 4 channel. Thanks.

Do you have screws sticking out the cab of the truck then, what did you use to seal it if anything

i mounted my 2 channel and 4 channel amp behind the rear seat in my ext cab. theirs more room towards the bottom of the seat. the only problem i have is when i fold the seat up it puts pressure on the amps but its not a big problem because my seat is always down. i did not screw the amps to the back wall i used double sided tape with velcro. works fine for me. i didnt want to drill the wall then water would leak.

No screws, Just glued a piece of wood to the back with some gorilla glue and screwed it into that

I have always always screwed my amps to the back wall and have never ever had any leaks. use a zinc coated or stainless steel screw and it will never corrode and it will keep it water tight. just dont mess up and have to drill a second hole, if you have to you can silicone the hole.

i have a thread showing how we installed mine.. cut some thin wood slats to go in the channels on the back wall.. glue them in. then get a thin sheet of wood.. almost like paneling. then screw into them, making sure you hit the slats you put in.

double stick tape here. My amp fit great. I even have it so I can see the lights thru the bottom of the back seat, so I know if it gets too hot.

Another good idea is to alter the mounting tabs for the back seat. If you cut a tiny bit of them where it holds at the top then you can fold the back of the seat and have easier access to your amps.

    Hopefully that made sense, LOL.
