LS6 engine is the same thing as any other LS in most cases swap wise. Unless you have a V6 truck the intake swap is the most important part....otherwise take one out and put the other in.

I thought I read that the A/c bracket needs to be modded, the reluctor wheel or cam sensor somethin-or-other is different, oil pan...I'm sure there's something with the harness...? Also it has a drive-by wire t.b.

You're wanting to swap a 2004 LS6 engine from a Cadillac into your 2000 V8 truck? you can swap just the long block for your long block and then have the tune adjusted for the 5.7L engine displacement. Move your intake, injectors, accessories and bolt-ons and you're pretty much done.
See my truck data in the "My Garage" section here... http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/my-ga...tml#post191709

So it's a big PITA to use the car intake and accessories? The more I search around, the more I'm thinking of doing what you said. Besides, I'm looking for a torquey street cam and the truck intake is plenty good for the target hp and tq I'm aiming for. I've already got an HP Tuner ready to install.
