Is anyone else experiencing this with the transgo kit under almost none to light throttle? It didn't do this before the shift kit. Now it has a loud clunk with the 2-3 shift, but only under none to very light throttle.

My 2-3 is mkay. Maybe you have a slip yolk in need of grease?

I checked and double checked and triple checked everything on the install. It doesn't do this under acceleration. It only does this when i'm coasting at low speeds with little or no throttle.

Ok, maybe the shift kit's harder and faster shifts are making the yoke pop now? Hell, one thing i've learned about vehicles is that anything is possible. How do I go about greasing the slip yoke.......and where exactly is the slip yoke (don't laugh, i'm a total amateur at this tranny stuff)?

You gotta pull the driveshaft. Then use some thick grease on the yolk and on the output shaft. I think GM has some special syn greaze. That's about all there is to it.

Could also be your front driveshaft clunking about too when in 2Hi...

Isn't there a nickel plated one that is supposed to stop this? If so, how hard is the slip yoke to change out?

There sure is, apparently some TSB about it. It's like $50. Drive shaft comes out, remove u-joint, toss old trans yolk. Install is reverse of removal.

I'm really thinking this is what it is. It does it also on the 1-2 shift, but not as loud. I called a local stealership and the only slip yoke the parts guy listed in his computer was $227 , can I just try a bearing grease or is there a certain type of grease I should use???
