    Components Up Front

Im putting in a JL 6.5 component set up front. This is the bottom of the barrel one they make with an in line crossover for the tweeter. Now JL recommends you hook up the tweeter off the midrange. However the factory tweeter and woofer have seperate lines. How exactly should I hook this set up? I have a good deck to power the set for now. Here is the set I have.

use the factory midbass power wire to the mid, then to inline crossover, on the way to the tweeter.
    Don't use factory tweeter line.

A deck will be ok but a highs amp is where the moneys at.

+1 on what he said, if you are hooking components up to a factory or even aftermarket deck you aren't accomplishing much. Remember, too little power can kill a speaker just as fast as too much power and distortion.
+2 on not using factory tweeter or tweeter wiring.

Thanks guys. My source deck is an older eclipse 5442 5 volt. I have the components in and they sound great. One quick question as I found some conflicting info: what are the colors for the front right speaker? Dark green + light green - ?

    Thanks!
