CKP variation relearn problems.. help please..

a friend is trying to do the crank relearn process in my truck with a VERUS Snap-on device.. well he goes thru all the steps Verus ask him for, then it ask for full throttle and he gives full throttle all the way up to the rev limiter, but the device keeps saying "waiting for full throttle"
what can be the issue here??

see if it will see full throttle in just scan mode or what ever snap on calls it.
    Step 1. crus at it.
    Step 2. get a hammer.
    Step 3. torch it.

Sounds like you need to disconnect the battery, unplug the TB sensor, hook the battery up, turn the key on for about 30 seconds, turn the key off, hook up the TB, turn the key on, cycle the accelerator pedal from idle position to WOT 5-6 times, key off for 30 seconds, key on and start and then do the crank learn routine. Its something like that, just trying to remember the cycle.

BTW, put your location in your signature so that if someone near you has HPT they could possibly contact you to try and help you with the crank relearn.

A freind of mine has the same Crap-on and it does the same thing. All you have to do is snap the throttle one more time and its done..IDK why, but I will call in the morning to verify.. We just did one a few months ago.

We do a lot of tunes, so we get a lot of calls about this.
    Try this:

Be sure the device is up to date, this is usually the main cause.
    A/C off.
    Emergency Brake applied.
    Brake Pedal applied during process.
    Engine warmed up.
    Steady Idle.

If this doesn't work, it's the device you're using.

    Hope this helps,
    allen
