    Which HP Tuner to buy?

I searched here and came up with Hp tuners. So I searched around and found some info, but everything seems kinda vague on what the basic version vs the vp suite or whatever have to offer.

If I'm swapping from a 5.3 to a 6.0, with new pistons, cam, valve job, egr delete, headers, hi-flo cats, etc do you think I can get away with the basic software? Or should I pony up the $$ and get a better version??

    Thanks

Get the pro version. That way you have the 0-5v input right on the side.
    Step 1. crus at it.
    Step 2. get a hammer.
    Step 3. torch it.

agreed, go pro. Owners of pro never regret it but those that buy the basic wish they had bought pro instead.

What the hjell is he talking about? Is this that deal where you fake the signal from a sensor to the vcu?

Thanks guys for the info. I'm super excited to delve into the realms of tuning and graphs and parameters and such, but I don't know squat about it YET

Well HP Tuners has to basic products VCM suit Which allows you edit the ECM and scan the ECM and they a have a scanner which allows you to scan only.

Inside each of those they have two version
Standard and a Pro. You can tune the same with both in the vcm editor, but the pro has a additional 0-5v input so that you can hook additional gauges up to it. Such as a wideband.

There website tells you everything and spend some time on there forum reading. If you are serious about tuning your self you better do some reading and when you think you have done enough keep on going because in this game knowledge is power, and it help you from screwing stuff up.
