    tranny linkage help

ok guys so i did a trans filter swap in the 04. bent the linkage bracket up to get it out of the way. when i bent it back the plastic clips that are the push in ones , well one of them broke. now everytime i hit a bump, i cant put my truck into park unless i get under it with the emergency brake on and it in gear, and push it back into place. anyone else have this problem? its really starting to get dangerous! how to fix this without replacing the whole cable?

Replace the whole cable. Too bad and too late it's broken. If you would have removed the bracket instead of bending it then...well, you know now. There are topics here. Sorry dude, that sucks but it's not that hard to replace the cable. BTW, the new one needs adjusted after installation.

Zip-tie it in place with a few ties?
