The question and answer may not match here.
If it's an R 350 (stock type) timing is not adjustable by turning the HVS like an old distributor. Timing can only be changed in the 'puter. Twisting the HVS will only throw off the CMPS and the offset.
If that's what you meant in the question, I apologize.
man i am just trying to figure out why in the hell my truck is detonating, no matter where i get my fuel from. i have even ran a quart of water threw the TB to clean the carbon up and i still am having this issue!!!![]()

bottom line is asked for help GasGuzzler made a nice attempt,Zeake you was saying "take it some where and pay someone some money,to figure it out".
thats not a option.
so back to the point before i was rudely interrupted,by what seems to be a few post whores!!!
my truck has been having some detonation issues,i asked Nelson and he gave me some options to work with.
i believe my problems is the cats and o2 sensors.
things are erratic with the truck, so thats my conclusion,to my problems with my truck
