    L92 truck intake

    i thought it wouldnt work on 317,243 heads and such only the ls3 heads, anyway i witnessed one sunday, the guy was telling me about it and so i had to look yep l92 intake on a set of 317 casting heads!!!!
    Simple: 408 on steroids!

    Are you sure? The port spacings on L92 heads are different than 243/317 heads. IOW, the intake runners don't line up with L92 intakes and 317 heads.

    thats what i thought, thats why i had the guy open the hood, i checked sure enough l92 intake, looked at the heads and they were 317's dunno go figure, on a side note lol i dont drink hahahaha so i cant use that for an excuse

    its very well possible, did the 07-08 tbss's have the l92 truck intake? are they different. i do know it looks identical to mine!

    if you mean by modern, if its like the old truck intakes ,4.8,5.3,6.0 then No it doesnt look like it, like mentioned its the same as mine.

    Most likely it's the tbss intake, It looks very similar to the L92 and... If I'm not mistaken the L92 heads are a few degrees off from the 317, 243, etc.etc. heads which wouldn't work when trying to bolt up the L92 intake to the earlier heads.

    yeah, i am gonna shoot some pics of it, this weekend, i know the guy hes always out there, the clash of the titans is this weekend so i know he will be there, i am gonna take pics of this thing. lol i know what i saw hahahaha i think!!!! lol

    All you have to look for is the rectangular intake port on the top, where it seals with the head.... I'm sure you already knew that though.

    Yeah, I thought the LS1 style cathedral ports were too tall to seal the LS3/L92 intake port. I guess if you epoxied the intake runner you could put one on there but then you'd really want to try and port match all the intake runners to the intake.
