    New PB's 1/8 and 1/4

I have videos, but for some reason my time was not showing even though I cleary did not have N/T on my window... I will post em up later but here is the breakdown of the fastest slip I could find. I think I had a 11.70, but I cant find the slip, so here is the fastest for now.

    Reaction .148
    60' 1.696
    330' 4.806
    1/8 7.466
    1/8 92.30
    1000' 9.800
    1/4 11.796
    1/4 112.50

Anyway, like Kevin said in his post the track was slick, so we all had traction issues tonight. I got warned at the time both that 1 tenth faster in the 1/8th and I will need a jacket and roll bar. The funniest part of the night was rolling up next to the same yellow GTO that I ran into Sunday!

Not a full cage. I am going to get something like flaco has, it is just a roll bar that has bars running down the side as well. No bars out the back window or lexan. He said his is good to 9's which ill never see

Makes me wonder if you can use an in-bed rollbar like 4wd trucks run.

Not sure on that one Greg!

I have a few issues to work out still.

I like to pull all my plugs after each run to check them, the problem is that Taylor wires are junk and they pull apart even with the tool, so I spent an hour after the first run fixing plug wires. Needless to say I think my "repairs" hurt my later runs.

I am going down to a 150 shot to eliminate any traction problems. The other thing I cant pin down is my AFR. It is fine in first and second (11.6-7) Then goes rich in 3rd all the way down to 10.2 through the traps.

I also need to work on my converter lockup speed under WOT in 3rd gear the engine is going out of the power band so I will just lock the converter around 95 mph. Or I might just change to a cam that pulls higher RPM's

Sounds like you're running out of fuel supply from the intank fuel pump. When you take off, the injector pulse is longer on the injectors and is taking more of the fuel. As you go down the track the engine isn't requiring as much fuel as at the launch and the fuel is now being diverted to the nitrous jets most likely causing your rich issue. Get a standalone fuel system.

The best advice I have ever heard:... Only take B( . Y . )ST advice from someone that is CURRENTLY running a turbo setup close to, or bigger than what you want......

if i recall flacos, does go through the floor board and is welded (attached to the frame) i seen it when he took all interior out and was mauking it up for fabbing, could be wrong but i doubt flaco would use something thats not legal since hes seriuos about his racing!!

brian, you did have a 11:70 run you showed me the slip!! awesome times man, just needed a little more traction

I talked to Flaco last night and he said he is putting his truck under the knife again for a full halo cage. So I am sure he is aware that what he has will not cut muster in a full NHRA tech. ****.. most of us wont pass tech. I dont have a DS loop and I run 11.7. and I run 7.45 in the 1/8th with nothing more than a helmet. I know it is risky, and I am going to make improvements.
