Any one running 5.3 in an OBS with a body drop? I have some issues.

Hello all,

I have been working slowly on my truck. I have an 03 5.3 motor in a 98 OBS truck with a 2.5 inch body drop on it. I am having some clearance issues on the passenger side where the fire wall is hitting the collector of the passenger side header. The headers on the truck right now are factory 5.3 headers. I want to run the pace setter shorties on it but do you know if they are the same dimensions as the factory pieces? I do not want to buy something that I am going to not be able to use.

Any one else running this swap in a body dropped truck? if so what did you do to resolve this problem?

cut the floor boards out for clearance and patch a new section into there. A 2.5 body drop on a stock engine would have been a nightmare considering the limited amount of space on that side with the frame.
