    1500 LS1 swap help

    Hi guys. I have a 98 chevy 1500 with a blown 5.0 and im looking at putting a Ls1 in it, Just curious what I would need to complete this swap. BTW The engine is a 99 trans am ls1 with trans complete with everything including computer and harness with 45k miles for $3500. thanks for the help

    Yeah, just look through a few threads here in the conversion section and maybe send a few PM's to the members that have already done it. I think a good start would be to get the motor mounts/adapters so you could atleast set the motor in there. But do your research first and find out what mounts you need. Look and see what other guys used on similar swaps that way you don't end up like me. I ended up buying the wrong motor mounts and hacked up my frame when I didn't really have to. Good luck with the swap.
