Thread: now that i've thought about it...

    now that i've thought about it...

    i was going to do a full dual exhaust, headers back, but now that i think about it, for about the same money, i could do a tune and headers, or a tune and a cam(i think). what do you guys suggest??
    btw, thanks for all you guys help!!!

    thats the long term plan, but all that cost money that i dont have. what should it cost to get everything needed for a cam install and for someone that knows what theyre doing to install it?

    save up and buy all the parts and do everything at once, then you only have to tune once also. Messing with tuners is a hassle...J/K, don't shoot me. It's less hassle for you and your tuner this way.

    I finally got the money (birthday and HS graduation) to buy everything! I just ordered a nelson tune, dynatech headers and the dynomax muffler. Hopefully will ge installed sometime next week

    about 1200-1500$ for cam installed

    I would say do a tune and LT first. Then once you get some more $$$ saved, do a cam. There are several members on this board who can easily do cam installs, but they ones I know of are no where near you. Plus, you've got the new 6.2L motor. They need a C6 3-bolt cam gear so you can do a cam...I THINK...don;t hold me to it yet cause I am not 100% familiar with the Gen IV motors yet...
