    welcome

Cherry the 454 out and sell it. Those things are bringing large money in good condition. Take your profits and buy you a late model.

The first upgrade you need to make are the brakes. I test drove a 454 ss after years of wanting one and dropped the idea like a hot potato after the beast refused to stop.

Welcome to LS1truck! A 454SS may or may not have been a good decision, depending on the condition of the truck. What are your future plans for the truck? Since it is a special edition vehicle, it would be worth more if you retained the original drivetrain. What year truck is it? The 1990 model had the 230hp/385lb.ft and the later models had the 255hp/405lb.ft...

I agree, the price of these trucks will continue to rise as people buy and change them. BTW Welcome to the site
