    head swap???

    got a question if i swapped heads with an lq9 6.0 liter out of a 2007 hummer h2 would there be any significant gains???
    2002 silverado with a 4.3l v6 single wheel peel with true duals.......JK, 2002 silverado, KB 5.3 liter SOLD!!!(to a 16 year old for his first vehicle)

    From what I read, you would lose too much compression and it would offset any potential gains from the better flow. You're talking about puting LQ9 heads on a 5.3 right?

    ya i have a complete 6.0 liter lq9 from an h2 that i would swap with my 5.3 but the problem is that the block is cracked just a little bit but i dont wanna take the chance. so i was was wondering what i could swap from the 6.0 to my 5.3

    If you know for a fact that the block is broken and leaks from a point you may be able to get it nickel welded to repair it, if not, buy a new 6.0L block and swap all the parts over to it.
