    Just got done.

    hello all i just got done doing the LQ4 6.0 swap into my 1987 R-10 long bed. i have the magnuson 112 radix system 4L80E behind it and used all the factory fuse block. it has dual tanks which i think i will be moving to only one. i need to upgrade the fuel pump the a walbro but in time.

    my question is i keep getting a P0654 which i know what it is but i don't know how to fix the problem can anyone help me out on this.

    wow, never saw that one come up before. Sounds like the tach isn't working, no tach signal detected. If you don't need it, I'd just have it turned off in the PCM program. You could pull the PCM connectors off and visually check to see that all pins are sticking through properly to correct height.

    ok keep in mind this truck is from MN and it is my father in-laws but man talk about sleeper mode

    soi can just delete it from the puter then with no issues? i have HP Tuners but i didn't want to delete it until i was sure about it. thanks

    Check the connections at the PCM first and if that doesnt solve it, yeah, just turn the code off in the PCM if the engine is running fine.

    well i am not running a tach at all or at least not yet. from what the DTC says it is just a reference or something along that line. my concern was if the PCM needed it for driveability or not. i am guessing i can just delete it and if it gets worse than i can reprogram it back in. thanks i appreciate it
