    fuel filter

    i have a 87 s10 blazer. it has return line that goes back to the tank. so do i need the vette fuel filter or not?

    The idea behind the Corvette filter is that you pump fuel into the filter and it cleans it and sends it upstream to the engine. Once you hit 58 PSI of fuel pressure what do you do with the excess fuel and pressure? The engine can't use it and compensate the fuel mixture so the idea is to bleed off the excess pressure back to the fuel tank through the return line. If you don't bleed the pressure off and had a regulater that could hold the fuel pressure at 58 PSI your fuel pump would eventually overheat and burn up.

    So yes, a Corvette fuel pump is highly recommended unless you buy a fuel pressure regulater to add to the fuel lines and bleed off the excess fuel and pressure.
