    another 5.3 or go 6.0

okay here's the deal, im getting out of modding for awhile. at least until the real estate business picks up or my house sells or something. money's getting kinda sparse right now. and just so happens i go and kill my motor. so the procharger is for sale and i'm hoping to get 3k or more for it. so since i'm not going to mod the crap out of it i was thinking about dropping a 6.0 in it and bolting my headers up and be happy. i hope that will keep me satisfied. only problem is the nice 6.0's are quite expensive. the lq9's. but the lq4's arent too bad. so what exactly is the difference. and do you think the truck will be kinda quick with a lq4 and long tubes CAI and tune. it should have over 400 trq right? and what 350hp or so.

Im not sure on the HP numbers but I personally would go with the LQ4 simply because it is a little more boost friendly. I personally have a LQ9 in my truck, only because it came with it. If it ever goes im going with the 4.

the difference in the lq9's and lq4s is the vehicles they came in and the hp numbers. the lq9's came in ss's and escalades. the lq4's came in the 2500's. im not sure now with th new vehicles with the vortec max and stuff.

LQ9 has Better Rods and high compression Piston .. Great for N/A or heads/cam combo... lq4 is still a bullet less compression Not as HD rod and dish piston... Onces you start to Add tunes and Mods i think they will bolth run about the same....

well since i'm limited on cash, I'm gonna go lq4, I've done some research and after 01 the lq4's made 325 and 370trq which is pretty stout. if my cam isn't wasted i may put that in and gain a few more. the 6.0 seems to respond to the extra lift pretty well. i think I'll enjoy the extra low end power that i missed having a centrifugal.
