    Front Accessorys

    im gonna be running a lq9 in my obs . i wanna figure out someway to do a manual steering thats not hard as hell to turn . and run no a/c and a electric water pump . so all the motor has to turn is the alt. figure that be a lot of gain off the front and easy of the motor .

    is it possible i just need right sized belt right . and figure something out with the steerin

    96 c1500, stock suspension, stock bottom end, 93 octane, street radial- 1.60 11.5 at 115- on the small stage-sold

    You could always go with a manual rack and pinion or buy a unit from an early 70s vehicle and rotrofit it. The manual rack will be easier to fit, I would think, plus you can pick from a larger selection of gearings. Look to spend about $600 for the rack and then build a custom mount and linkage to the steering column.

    hmmm i see . is it really worth the gain of not having to turn the power steering pump ?
