    radiator info please!

    today i had too change my alt that went and decided i would put my beutiful new $650 efans on ,stripped it down ,put brackets on and what do ya know iv got the small radiator .my fans are flexalite duramax diesel fans ,nice unit ,im going to have too doo some fabbin but no bigge .my question is what radiator do i order ,i know its the bigger one but what appl,do i ask for .mine is 04 gmc sierra 1500.thanks ahead.

    You have the 28" Radiator. You bought the 32" radiator size fans. If I remember correctly, you got the #284 when you should have bought the #292. If you want to go through the trouble of doing a new radiator--that's cool--but I am not sure if your connectors for the tranny cooler lines, temp sensors, hose lengths, etc. will fit the 34" rad. It's just a thought. I may be off on that thought, but it would be something to consider...

    i went out and bought the larger one{rad} i hope all the mentioned things do work i did think of it as i paid for it .lol.looks like the tranny lines oil lines etc are gonna work o shit as im writing i just realized the lines are the same but idk if theyre are long enough ,well i was saying i thought the lines would work but o well well see and the worst would be the hoses maybe longer .any more opinions still would be apppr.

    Yeah, like I said before, I am not sure if they are long enough... The only thing to do now is to drain your system and put the new stuff in and see if it will fit. I am waiting for our "Resident Know Nothing" to chime in...Red--you have any insight?????

    I switched from a 28 to 34" radiator and used the same hoses without any problem, just straightened out a couple of bends and cut the return hose to install the huge transmission cooler in front of the a/c condensor.
