supercharged c6 vs 07 z06

Who do you think would win if it was a head to head race?

Long story short my mother got a 06 corvette 6speed for a early wedding present... stepdad is considering putting a supercharger on it after having a long discussion with him about it. I was telling him that if he put a Maggy S/c it wont void out the warranty and would be pretty close race for the fraction of the price a zo6 would be.. and possibly might beat a zo6..... so i'm pretty close to luring them in to buy one... I was just curious who do you think would win in a race?

i think the c6 with a maggie would get the nod power wise to the wheels but traction would be the issue. driver's race

Amen to that. Those cars are quite difficult to get a good launch without obliterating the rear tires... It would be solely up to the driver&#39;s abilities... Why not also sell them on exhaust, cam, tune, etc?

The LS7 would get dusted if the Vette was tuned properly with a supercharger. Rear mount turbos would be cool, too. STS has a slick kit for the Vettes.

They will be getting a tune for the vette for sure that was the first thing they are wanting to do and thats how the whole discussion got started with me and my stepdad about possibly the s/c ,

As for the Cam & headers thats going to be a no for sure just because i know how they are.

I might go ahead and talk to my stepdad about exhaust.. he did put corsa exhaust on his 06 GTO before he sold it. So i&#39;ll bring that up to him tonight at dinner.

My buddy has an 07 zo6, its stock right now but that thing is sick??? Hes made a pass at the track and it went 11.7 spinning his ass off, but I think the 2 would match up well.

ill take the z06, but im not sure i mean itd be close. the z06 is amazing 28 mpg with 505 hp. the ls2 gets 26 mpg at 400 hp. still very impressive. they say the 505hp gm rates the vette at is "conservative" which to me means it could be higher when tested by someone else.
