got annoyed with my 60' times so i did the swap hoping it will help a little.

times with 3.73's was 13.09@105.5 with a discusting 1.96 60' in OK weather. my mph says 12.6ish but my 60' says screw you! that time was spinnin the 28" hoosiers because of my sissy burnout. if i dead hooked i think i woulda broke outa my 13.00 bracket that i was in. hopefully the gears will get me lower into the 1.8 range or if im extreemly lucky a 1.799 :crosses fingers:

i usually cut 1.88's so the 1.96 was due to traction. well see

Have you installed some Caltracs yet? Maybe you're getting some chattering in the axle that is causing your traction issue.

yeah i thought about cal-tracs but they are way overpriced and i hear they make the ride worse. mine is already pretty rough. maybe ill put the spring clamps back on

I hear you're supposed to adjust the bars for street driving and re-adjust them again at the track to snub the traction bar against the spring.

I'll let you know how mine do when I install them this is why I purchased them ($325.00) since there's nothing better besides a 4-link. I twisted the u-bolts out of the rear end with all of the wheel hop going on off the line. I spent this weekend with the daughter since it was here birthdayso maybe next weekend will be free for me.

the install was pretty easy because we swapped a rear end from a truck sitting next to mine so we didnt have to jack with shims etc... basically i kept my carrier, we swapped over the rings and pinnions, we traded shims, traded sleves and put them back in. i would have no clue how to do the shimming etc. im paying for my detroit tru-trac to be installed because it will need to be re-shimmed and the bearing pressed on.
