WHAT TYPE OF DIFF SHOULD I GO?AUBURN, DETROIT LOCKER, OR EATON. HOW CAN I FIND OUT HOW MANY SPLINES MY AXLES HAVE? I HAVE A 2000 CHEV. SILVERADO 2500 WITH A 14 BOLT G80 LOCKER AND 8 LUG AXLES? ANYONE. I AM GOING TO GET A NEW SETUP WITH 4.10:1 GEARS. I NEED SOMETHING THAT CAN TAKE PUNISHMENT AND STILL HAVE ROAD MANNERS.

I've had nothing but good luck from all the Auburn diffs I've bought new. They don't have clutch packs in them like others do, they're cones and if the cones happen to wear out in the first 4 years of ownership they will send you a brand new unit to replace the defective one for $125. That's cheaper than replacing clutches in other units.
