Thread: what is the best bang for the buck?

1. #1
If you could only choose one. would you go with"

A cam ( and what size)
valvetrain upgrade (what ratio rockers)
throttle body (what size)
get the cylinder heads machined
fill in the blank

I just got a tune ordered so that one is out.

which is the most cost effective?

2 rules
only choose one
budget is 550

help

1st is limited slip/posi if you don't have one.
Next would be 4.10s
Then comes a 2800-3200 convertor
How about some drag radials or slicks?

wouldnt 4.10's just kill my gas mileage with an uzi followed quickly by a grenade then a bayonet to make sure lol

also I know it is a 10 bolt 8.5 but how many splines do I have? it is an 04 rcsb if that helps any with an axle code of gu4

When you consider bang for the buck, Nitrous rules that area. 100+ horses for under $1k is hard to top, but it has it's own flaws. Gears are going to allow you to use the power you already make in a shorter distance.
2004 Chevy/Regency RST, 6.0L LQ4, custom built NV MG-5 tranny by local Tranny Guru, Hurst Shifter, K&N FIPK, stock Regnecy Exhaust, 3.73 gears w/ Eaton Locker, and the Magnacharger huffer topping it off w/ stock pulley... for now

Looking to meet people w/ LS1 trucks in the OKC area PM me
