found a brand new ls2 6.0 block for around $450+s/h. i know these blocks aren't a direct swap, so my question is, what are some of the complications the i will be faced with as i start the install? also, what all will swap over from my 5.3? -- should i look elsewhere???

i'm just trying to iron out the madness in my brain for more power.. i'm trying to find the best application for the money.

    any info would be welcomed..

    thanks, brad

The LS2 has the camshaft sensor in the front cover, you'll need one of them and the LS2 cam gear and sensor. The knock sensors are on the side of the block instead of in the valley over the camshaft. You'll have to retap the side of the block to fit your old knock sensors and extend the leads to reach the side of the engine, or buy ready made extensions for the cam sensor and knock sensors.

like i said, i'm still trying to find the best application for the money.. if it involves tapping into the engine, i'd rather pass that deal up. i want something that when all the parts are here, we can crank it all together and throw it in there without having to do any machine work or "nigger rigging" anything.

i was just thinking the extra pounds i'd be saving going with the aluminum block, over the cast iron.

    thanks for the info red..
