First time at track

Went to the track for the first time. I thought I would do better . Ran a 15.4@ 90.5 mph. Did not take anything off for weight reduction, actually put more weight. Full tank of gas and heavy ass tonneau cover. I think I could have done better with more runs. (Mods Volant CAI, borla muffler, and hypertech.) Just done:Tune! Forgot to mention I have 3.42 with the one legged pirate.

wanna run faster? Check out the mods VV8 and BlueCajun have done on their engines and follow suit. They have pieced together some parts that work very well together. Weight reduction is a plus, too. Be sure to toss that handheld tuner and get a real tune from NelsonPerformance.com

do u have the ram air adapter for the volant? im glad u ran at regular weight, i mean u can get better times, but when ur not at the track ur not gonna run the same as u do with all ur shit back on ur truck. as red said that hypercrap has gotta go, and get some either 3.73&#39;s or 4.10&#39;s plus posi and ull be good to go&#33;&#33;&#33; r u running high flow cats??? if not just dont have cats and get that tuned itll be even better&#33;

Thats just what i think. Taking off all your weight at the track makes a difference but on the street with everything its different also. Yeah I have the ram air. I just got a tune the day after i went to the track and it made a major difference from the programmer. I was thinking either the gears and posi or headers, but i decided i&#39;m gonna get the headers with y-pipe and take out the cats. I&#39;ll put the gears in a couple of months along with a cam&#33;&#33;

When do you plan on running with the Nelson Tune?

I got a tune from a friend. I really wanted a Nelson tune but he&#39;s 4 hours away. Since i&#39;m gonna be modding my truck these months, the tune I have is going to have to be changing with each mod. I can&#39;t go over there each time when I get a mod. Gas prices will kill me.

Do the mail order tune. I heard those are really awesome to. Or after you get done with your mods, go to SA then.

I already got a custom tune. It seems pretty good. Maybe when i&#39;m doing with all my mods all go over there to San Antonio.

Cool. Yeah, any custom tune is better than a hand held. You plan on running anytime soon? for new times? Ive seen allens tune take as much as .7 off before.

I want to, I wana see how much I drop. My friend said if i hit 15.4 that time now I should hit 14.9-15.0 easily. I think it will be even lower, my truck felt like it was getting better after each run when I went.
