I just signed up and I want to do a 4.8 swap into my 02 gmc sierra. I have a 4.3 v6 with a 5 speed. I was wondering if I can still use my stock transmission with the new motor. some one please help me out.

Welcome.
GM makes an adapter to space the crankshaft out for an automatic. I'm not sure if it will also work for the clutch pilot. Surely it will. To see a picture of it go to www.hotrodlane.com and look at their catalog. You can call them and ask if they've done a conversion to a factory V6 5 speed.

I know the Automatice mounts right up to the 4.8. I would think the housing an a manual would. But im no expert
