That's too heavy for a buggy, IMO. You need an aluminum blocked engine. Get a trailblazer or SSR 5.3, LS1, LS6 or LS2. That extra 100 lbs would be hell on the suspension when being jumped. Don't think that you won't be tempted to do that.![]()

well with the 4.8 just being a paper wieght to everyone. What do you guys think would be a better idea to swap in a 4.8 just to have the motor and tranny swap doneand later swap to a 5.3 or 6.0?
Is the 4.8 that bad? Or is it just a wanting more power thing?
It's the more power thing, I have seen a few tuned and cammed 4.8's put down a couple extra ponies![]()

i think my 4.8 runs pretty well for the two mods that i've done to it.
want to have a Gen III engine in for more power and efficiency.
