why would my truck weigh 6100 lbs.????

k i looked at my vehicle information on the door of my truck, and it says my truck weighs 6100 lbs.???? how the hell does a rcsb stock 99 silverado weigh that much??? if it doesnt weigh that why would it be labled like that? just a thought! thanks guys!

dude theres no way. ours are like 3800 or 3900 i think. or maybe 3700

that's probably GVWR. my RCSB weighs about 4550 with me in it.

I would say b/w 4300- 4500 LBS. I have an older 2500 and it weighs 5435lbs with me in it, and if you have seen me that&#39;s about a buck and a half. Haa Haa&#33;

Subtract 1000 lbs from that if it&#39;s a 1/2 ton and you&#39;re looking at the GVWR.
