Thread: 4.3 accessories to V8

    Will my stock accessories bolt up from a 4.3 V6 to a 02 5.3?

    Guy Who wants to sell me an engine says they will I just want to make 100% sure

    Could you guys help me out and give me some detailed information?
    2012 F-250 XLT/FX4 RCLB 6.7 Powerstroke

    no just the power stering pump and alternator maybe .. the manifolds will also.. i went from 4.3 to 5.3 and learned the motor mount from the 4.3 passenger side will work and a v8 mount will work for the driver side..
    Simple: 408 on steroids!

    how will the manifolds work from a v6 on v8?

    V6 to V8 accessories are incompatible when it comes to moving up to a Gen3 engine.

    let me step back NO the manifolds wouldnt work lol my mistake, but the Y pipe and exhuast mounted just fine with the v8 manifolds, sorry got in a hurry when typing.. the only thing i really used was the power stering pump.. and one motor mount ..

    I don&#39;t know, I beleive the alternator and P/S pumps should be the same, obviously the bracketry would be different, but if I recall, they are the same V8, to V6

    Yeah, I hear the PS pump works and the A/C can work with the correct brackets. Gotta buy the V8 brackets to adapt it to the new engine.

    a/c bolt patern is different from v6 to v8 v6 are slanted and mounted on top of engine the v8 is striaght across and mounted next to the passenger side frame..

    Yea Officially none of the V6 accessories will transfer over...I do know the alternator is the same but has different brackets...

    I just got my V8 Alternator for my 6 Liter Im getting today...Different brackets it seems like..

    I dont know about any other accessories though
