Thread: My turbo install. Any suggestions?

    So far I think I'm doing ok. I haven't ran into any major problems. These aren't final, just fitting it up.

    Good luck i'll be doing my second sts install all day on sunday (with my bro on his truck)! Looks like you got the "updated" pipe where it goes into the engine bay, looks nice, it gets real fun jacking the body up to squeeze that pipe in there!

    home made kit??

    05 Silverado VHO 2wd xcab. 6.0L (stock), STS intercooled turbo 9psi. TiAl blowoff 11psi. Pro Torque 2800 stall converter and billet 1-2 shift servo. dyno 4/23/06 430hp/517 TQ @ wheels. 12.95 @ 104.5 8/11/06.

    YUP Homemade. Piceing it together I've spent under $1500. It SHOULD be up and running whenever I can find the time to put the oil lines on.

    No STS here unfortunately. Just bought what I needed off Ebay,Summit,JCWhitney And got the welding done at a local shop. Got the oil line and fittings in today. I&#39;ll start putting those on tonight.

    I&#39;ll let ya&#39;ll know how it turns out. But this braided oil line wityh the compression fittings are a bitch
