My remanufactired longblock

Hello everybody.
Got my remanufactured longblock today, and have a few questions.
1. I know there isn't a distributor with these engines, but when I start transfering my electrical parts to the reman. engine (sensors,etc), do I need to do anything special to the reman. block to install these parts? Do I have to have #1 cylinder at TDC when I'm installing these sensors and such?
2. Do I need any special locktite for the exhaust manifold bolts, intake bolts, any bolt that threads into the block? My block is cast iron (truck engine).
3. Should I buy my new gaskets from the dealer or somewhere else?
4. Where is the best place to buy a manual for this engine? Need it for the future in case I have problems or for maintenance.
5. In case I want to paint the block, where to go for paint?
6. I think I've asked enough for now, but if I've forgotten something or if you know something that I need to do with this engine, let me know.
