    vacuum leak at master cylinder

I've noticed a hissing sound coming from the engine compartment of my 05 GMC CCSB for a while. I finally tracked it down to a vacuum leak from the brake booster where the master cylinder bolts to it. Is ther some sort of gasket or seal there? Would the booster be bad? Is there a cheap fix for this?

I actually replaced a brake booster on an 02 Envoy, because It rusted through right underneath the master cylinder in a small pinhole. I had bought a replacement master cylinder, because that's what I thought it was but it wasn't. Mine didn't have a seal between the two, good luck!!

Got a part number? I called the local GM dealer and it doesn't show an o-ring or gasket.
