you need to know which wires come from the truck and hook to the senders? My 92 and both 93s I've done, the wires come from the firewall block on the driver side between the brake booster and the fender.

Sorry, I don't have the dash harness info in my manual for the newer trucks, only up to 94.

O.K., here goes...The main "C-100" firewall connector, on the drivers side firewall, consists of an arrangement of wire "cavity" wires coming out of it. This arrangement is more or less in a square pattern, with many wires exiting. From top to bottom, the first row across, from left to right, are the "A" wires(or cavities). The second row across are the "B" wires. Third row are the "C's", fourth row "D's", & fifth row are the "E's". In row C(third row down), the 4th wire across(C4) is a tan wire labeled "oil pressure indicator lamp output". The very next wire, next to it(C5), is dark green & is labeled "coolant temperature indicator lamp output". Its been years, but I think these are the wire outputs I used. This is from a 1996 GM Manuel. '96, '97 & '98 were transition years for our trucks with regards to wiring & some other things, but were very simular. As you might know, '96 was the first year of OBDll, on-board diagnostics, second generation. But your '97 should be the same as my '96. Hope this helps.

that should be a wire that used to go to the old PCM. Was that removed before you got the truck?
