NOTE: This is not a question about what BRAND to purchase, so please, I'm not going there.
I bought an A/C filter the other day to do an oil change. I noticed when I pulled the old one, it was a PF46 (I believe). The new one was a PF61E. It was bit longer, but otherwise appeared the same width and screwed right onto the oil filter boss. Started the engine with no leakage issues, so I'm thinking this is golden. I'm just wondering if anyone knows which one is the correct filter, or does it even matter? I like the idea of the longer filter for any vehicle. Brings back memories of using the BBC filter on the SBC because it held more oil and had more filtering capacity. Any thoughts?
