    trans decision?

OK I'm wanting to upgrade to an 80e but can't afford it at the moment. my truck is an 05 crew cab 5.3 with just headers, tune, 3.90 gears, 3inch single exhaust, and a yank tt300 stall. while on the dyno my drive shaft blew up taking out my trans. some time in the near future i will be dropping in a mild 6.0 with a little go juice. i was looking at the flt level 5 and the performabuilt level 2. i know that the 60e takes a crap when lots of power are thrown at them, and with my truck being a heavy a$$ tank doesn't make it any better. so which would you guys suggest? i also want to go with a larger stall also. crew & ext cab guys what trans are you running and stall? I'm thinking for long term also guys thanks.

The 80e swap is going to be cheaper than an FLT.

no doubt, the 80e is the smarter choice of the three even if you have to pay someone to do the work you'll break even on the cost and will be done with replacing transmissions for a good long while.

I was looking at a fresh rebuilt lvl 5 for 1500 that's why it was a choice. Only thing I'm worried about with the 80e conversion is the wiring part and having to get the pcm re flashed. i don't wanna take my truck back to the guy that tuned it, And i don't know if he locked the tune or not. also i have to get another drive shaft, but i would like to get a built one so that i don't have to go through this again. Or will a high speed balance factory (1piece) one with 1350 yoke, be Ok since i had the speed limiter removed?
