93 GMC Swap to 6.0 done

Well my swap is done and working awesome but I have a little problem. When I use the truck for short periods of time eveything is good. Problem is when I use it a little longer and then turn it off the fuel pump stays ON. Already checked/changed the fuel relay and no change. Has anyone had this problem before? tips/suggestions are appreciated thanks

    Hi Lightly Modified,

I am just curious... Are you sure the pump continues to run? If the pump is running after you turn the ignition off... I would look to see if there is still 12v going to the pump... could be a bad ign switch. I also think the ECM looks for a running engine and if the engine isn't running, then the pump stops running.

Play around with your 12v test light and let us know what is powered at the relay with key off.

everything else turns off including my e-fans, but for some reason the pump stays on but if I take off the fuse to the pump and after a while I put it back when it cools off a little the pump is off.. cant figure it out???? I was already thinking of putting a kill switch but I dont want to go there.

sounds like there is 12v to that power supply then it times out. have you ever just sat there an counted how long it stays on? maybe the FP is wired into the wrong terminal on the ecm. i dunno.

who did your harness? is it a stock harness reworked or is it your truck harness powering it?
