    Do i need more fuel???

well when im in 3rd gear and i give the truck more gas but not flooring it and rpms around 2500-4000 and boost reaching 5 psi-max boost(10Psi) my truck feels like it is not picking up speed as it should, i mean my turbo is boosting like a jet engine ,even when i let off the throttle a little and bring the boost to say 2-5 psi it still picks up speed the same way.

even when im at a stop and floor through all the gears 1st gear feels good all the way,2nd and 3rd have the slight hessitations when boost reaches max PSI . my mods are listed in my sig, need some advice on whats goin on here, sounds to me like a fuel/air issue. thanks

Did you upgrade your fuel pump because that's not listed if not I'd reccomend a walbro 255. Nelson sells them for $140 plus shipping I bought a second thinking I broke mine but just didn't get the clamp tight on mine

Get a wideband and quit guessing if you need fuel or not. A simple tool that will save your engine.

well i fixed most of the issue, for starters , it was raining very bad, for the past couple days, drove on about a 1 hr trip then the truck started to hesitate very bad cutting in and out, got home and noticed water around my BOV and then i got concerned . so i then checked all my piping for leaks, piping before the intercooler was clean as a bell, on the otherside of the intercooler and the piping after it was very dirty with sludge and oil, basically looked like oil and water mixture. water was all in the MAF sensor and a little bit on the throttle body area, engine oil was very clean so it must have just gotten close but didnt enter my motor (i hope) .

all piping was good no cracks or holes. makes me wonder if i have on in my intercooler somewhere? this kit was used so it makes me wonder if all the oil was inside the intercooler and when i installed it it just with time made its way to the other side and out the cooler into the piping.

whats a good way to clean the intercooler of the oil ??

YES, get a wideband. Next, if you have any oil at all in your intake pipes you need to do a few thing depending on how bad everything is.

1st - Make sure your turbo's oil pump is in GOOD working condition. If it is not working as well as it should, oil will push past your turbo's seals and into the intake piping

2nd - Once your oil pump is in good working condition (whether your current pump is ok or you replace it), check the turbo. Do this by removing the air filter and give the compressor wheel a gentle wiggle side to side. If there is any play in the wheel, your turbo is leaking oil into the intake pipes.

3rd - Once the pump and turbo are taken care of (if the turbo does have play in it just get it rebuilt), pull off all intake pipes and the intercooler. Soak everything in a tub of simple green/hot water which will break up the oil and any other contamination. Then use a pressure washer, preferably with heat, to wash out the pipes and intercooler. Dry them thoroughly.

4th - reinstall the pipes and intercooler and clean the MAF before you put it back on.

I've had every problem you could think of with the STS kit and I've done this procedure 3 times already. Especially since you bought your kit used, check into all this. One last thing - having oil in your intake pipes will cause you to run lean when you drop the hammer and since you don't have a wideband, you may have leaned out in boost already and you may not know it. Do a compression check while you're looking into everything. Hope this helps and don't hesitate to ask me anything about STS problems cuz I've been fighting them for a while.

yes ive checked the turbo wheel and it seems to have VERY slight play but not much at all . my STS pump is new and only 2 months old if even that. i am wanting to get a turbo rebuild here very soon for safe precautions ,

i will do the cleaning method you said in the next day or two. i know for a fact it needs to be cleaned out. thanks for the info.

will do a compression check as well, what should my psi be at onthe cylinders??

I run my oil pump on high at all times rather than running low then high. I have the pump relay set up so that in never runs at low speed to make sure it never lacks for pumping capacity. The pump is noisier that way but it works great this way.
