Ok theres gotta be another way to clean out the old thread sealant from the engine block. The GM manual tells me I need to buy a $100.00 tool!
Any one know any tricks or got any advice?

I take an old bolt and grind a slot down the length of it and screw it in to clean the threads.

i like red's way of doing things. they want you to buy a "thread chaser" for cleaning crap outta the thread holes. run the bolt in an out a few times an blow the hole out
