wellll , my 4x4 hasnt been working for awhile now, i was wondering on how to test the system to narrow down all the parts it could be or may not be, i replaced the indash switch that you push to sellect 2wd or 4wd, and so far the yellow light doesnt pop up, also i replaced a doughnut looking thing behind the large gear in the transfer case and that did nuthing, i know for a fact that im gunna need a new acuationg motor, it's not showing anny current flow and also some of the wires in the harness were meeesed up but we repaired them, we used a jumper to test the wires coming from the truck and into the acuator, and the truck had power, any ideas? and i have access to diagrams and stuff just never tryed to do anything like this any info would be greatly appricated, thanks guys

there is module on the case that goes bad alot on these e-cases. i can't remember what it is called. mine always used to screw up. i pulled the 4x4 fuse and reset it every time it did it.

^^^^^ TCCM (transfer case control Module) under the dash, looks like a computer hard drive. When mine acts up i just do the same and unplug the battery for a few minutes.

The issue you are having is that it is not waking up when it gets a "High" pulse from the ignition. Thats why you have no indicator lights.

A new TCCM must be dealer programmed.

TCCM, were do i get a new one of those and about how much are they? u sure its what i need?

If you turn your truck on and you have no indicator lights and get a service 4wd message then yes it is. A dealer can test it though as well.

The cost.....somehwere around $200 i THINK, and it would then have to be programmmed
