think I blew my ac line

well driving home today I noticed this funney smell. When I got to the house popped the hood and have this lime green slick liquid near ac line. Tried to turn ac on and no cold air, compressor is not coming on either. Will no refriderent cause the compressor not to come on?

Absolutely will not run if you've blown a line, its to keep it from burning up the compressor. Quite a common ailment for a front mount turbo setup. Moze and Virgil both blew their A/C lines next to the turbo.

some a/c techs like to put a flourescent green dye in the a/c charge so that if it ever leaks it will be easy to locate it. shine a black light under your hood tonight and it should glow like something radioactive. It is dye mixed with oil.

when I replace the line do I need anything else like orings, or will they come with the new line??? I think its the rubber hose going from condensor to compressor. And also can I fill it up my self with a kit from the parts store or will I have to take it somewhere?

new orings are highly recommended. The system needs to have a vacuum pulled on it to rid it of any moisture and oxygen before charging it.
