    4.8 help

I have a 4.8 that I bought really cheap, I wanted to put my supercharger and cam shaft in it. Has anyone done this and what does it run like?

Yes there are plenty of people that have done it. I have a 4.8 with a turbo and cam. 4.8's are strong little motors
    Name: Mark,
God created turbo lag so nitrous trucks could have a chance.

    Wink

Another here with a boosted 4.8L. Yes they ARE strong little engines that will easily handle a cam and forced induction. And did I mention that I still average about 19mpg on the highway with a decent amount of power? (check out my sig)

~ Forged engine of some type ~ Ball bearing turbo of an unconfirmed size ~ 4L8000 trans ~ Beefy fuel system ~

4.8s arent worht modding... i read that on the interweb. they say you have to run large cube motors

    2002 Silverado - 427Lsx w/ Twin gt4202s
    2010 Silverado crewcab Z71 - 5.3litre w/ procharger

I have laughed and pooped on all the 4.8's I've driven because they were just as slow as the 6-cylinder in Blazer but I have not driven one on boost and that helps level the field.
