contact allen at nelsonperformance.com and he will remove the mph limiter for minimal charge or just have him tune your pcm for the truck to make it haul arse. he works on these pcms all the time and knows how to make them really perform. ask anyone who has one of his pcms, its the shiznit. check out his website, too. allen can send you a pre-programmed pcm to you so there is no downtime. as for the ls1 pcm running the 01 truck, don't think it will work since the vats will need to be disabled.
See my truck data in the "My Garage" section here... http://www.ls1truck.com/forums/my-ga...tml#post191709
you can run it, but you'll need vats removed, also, you may get away with doing the key relearn, your bcm won't like it, funny things happen, like dash lights not working or some staying on.
it's the same pcm service number so it is compatible.
the truck pcm can be tuned to run just as well as the ls1 pcm, it just needs a little tweaking. the major differences are shift points and timing tables, oh and tm.
later,
allen
