    rear main seal??

I'm back with some more questions. So i got the 6.0 in and recieved my nelson tune yesterday. was pretty good day until i noticed a oil leak, every time i check my oil it shows good, but every time my truck sits it leaves a pretty decent lil puddle.was pulling into the house earlier and noticed some smoke coming from underneath the truck and jacked it up and there was oil dripping from in between the motor and bell housing of the tranny. thinking its the rear main seal. any help would be greatly appreciated

Gotta pull the trans to fix that. Check the front pump seal on the trans too.

Is there anything else i should look for that could possibly be leaking from around the same area?

Yep...I got smoked by a rear main seal like less than three weeks ago. Got worse after I replaced both the rear main and the front pump seal in the trans. Never left my bay. Pulled the trans again and found the rear cover was leaking. I'll never pull one down to put a RMS in without changing that cover gasket too...

Possible oil pan too since the block, pan, rear cover all meet at the same two corners.

Oil pan or rear cover gasket. Are you sure it's oil?

Does your truck have engine oil cooler lines? Could be the oil filter, filter adapter gasket/o-ring, oil cooler line and/or coupler, rear main seal/rear engine cover(these should always be done together, as previously mentioned), or a transmission front pump seal or torque converter seal. I'm trying to remember if these have an oil pressure sending unit at the rear of the intake, you might look for that too.

Some shops have engine oil dye and a blacklight. Pour in the dye, start the engine, raise the truck and watch the source of the leak identify itself.

    Good luck on the repair.

Check the oil pressure sending unit. They leak after time.
