My 92 has 275/40/18s tucked under the fenders with no problems. 5.5" backspacing on 9.5 wide rims. I had to roll the inner fenders lip on the front with a baseball bat to not cut the edges of the tires up front and grind off parts of the lower a-arm. It has 2" lowering spindles and 2" springs up front and 6" flip out back.

How are you going to drop it? Spindles, coil or a-arm up front? Out back 3" drop spring plus the rear hanger you already have installed, front hanger or 4" drop spring with stock rear hanger?

well i'm stationed here in the middle east until may. but it's all good...
i ordered some brand new 20" stingray III's off of ebay for $600.
they are 8" wide and have 5" backspacing. i only have 2" drop shackles now.
i plan on doing 2" drop spindles up front and adding 2" drop hangers to the rear to make my 2/4 drop. my stockers are 29.9" and the 275/55/20's i want to go with are 31.9". i guess i'll have to measure myself when i get back home to decide on what size to go with.

    thanks guys

    Blue,

I have been researching the same thing and the 275/55/20' are monsters on a 2wd. I have 2/4 drop and a 275/60/17 on mine now and the fender is full so I am going close to that. either going with the 285/50/20 or the 275/45/20 so I can retain the same stance and clearance as I have now.

these are the 17's, I have not installed the 20's yet!

with my drop not sure if anything past a 265 would clear. i currently have 255/50/20 and they are questionable

I wouldnt be able to do a 4/6 drop with 22's without a 35mm offset wheel and 265/35/22 tires. lol 265 width tire isnt small either..
