Ok, so I have got a new 5" tach w/shiftlight an I have been wanting to instal it for about 2 months now but I ned some help on wireing it in. I know where the red, black an white wire goes but what do I connect the green wire to? (The green wire is the one that sends the signal to the tach.) I thout about just splicing into the same wire that runs into the dash to the factory tach but do yall think that will even work? Someone just give me some edvice on wiring up my new tach on my 04 silverado 5.3. Thanks

cut the wire going to your original tach and run it to the new tach. white wire in the dash harness. oh yay put your tach on 4 cylinder.

Just a note: You can adjust your aftermarket tachometer to 4cyl to work with the LS1's 2pulses per revolution, 0 to 5V signal. But people with stock tachometers don't have the ability to change this. We have a TSD (tachometer signal divider/adaptor) to help in this case, it converts the 0-5V signal into a standard 0-12V signal and multiplies the frequency (divides the time period) to accurately drive your 4, 6, 8 or 12cyl tachometer.

I can vouch for BakerElectronix tach signal divider. I have the first modules he built for the tach signal and it works flawlessly. Technical support was excellant. BTW, do you want module number 1 back? Module 2 is still working without any problems. I like the LED, I mounted it so that it lights up the eye of my Gorilla wheel locks decal. The kids get a kick out of it!

I would like to see a pic of the Gorilla with flashing eyes, or at least with them lit up. I would like Module#1 back, it will work for anyone with a older type V8 going into a V6 vehicle or someone putting a 4cyl into their late 1980's 3cyl Chevy Sprint .... It could happen.
Send it back and we will reimburse you for shipping.
