Needing some brakes...would appreciate input...

I'm going to be selling the nitrous kit I ordered and putting the money toward brakes for the truck (and then tires if I have any left over).

Looking for advice on:

- whether I should buy a set for just the front or front and rear?

- whether I should get rotors, pads, and calipers, or just rotors and pads?

- for around $500 (or less if I just do the front) any recommended kits?

Any info would be appreciated. Summit has their brand of 12" slotted and dimpled rotors and ceramic pads for the front for $170. eBay has some decent deals too, so just not sure what to go with here...

The biggest part of braking is done on the front end. Get the best brakes you can for the front. Be sure to take into consideration the size of wheel you're going to settle for since you were talking about getting smaller wheels at one time.

Yeah like greg said the wheel size thing is important. I have heard lots of good thing about baer brakes

hawk pads on ebay drilled rotors,100x better than stock.Just my .02

Go bigger up front(biggest you can fit with your wheels, 6 piston would be great) and just put some slotted rotors out back(same size as stock).

Got a confirmation number via PayPal that it was shipped USPS. So I should have it early this week.

Yeah, that's why I was just thinking of doing something up front. The smallest wheel I would go is probably 18" so I think I'm pretty safe.

I have baer brakes the 14" rotors up front with braided stainless lines. With that new found power you are going to need bigger rotors. Trust me on this. My baers have saved my truck more than once.
