    Turbo or nitrous???

Now I'm stuck. I don't know whether to save for a torbo or nitrous?? Can ya'll tell me the pros and cons of each if I get nitrous it will be a wet kit, if I get a turbo it will probably be a used rear mount. All oppionions greattly appreciated!!!!

Turbo is a better investment and you don't run out of boost like you run out of juice. + the cost of nitrous adds up after a while. Then you have spent more than you would have on a turbo.

You have to go through a lot of nitrous to spend more on it than a $4500 turbo setup. I can't imagine keeping the nitrous on that much. For $1000 you can have one hell of a nice nitrous system. Buy your own nitrous refill bottles and fill your own for less than $2 a pound, depending upon the state. Getting 100hp from a turbo setup is about maximum gains on a 4.8 but you can use it any time and your bottle never runs empty. The turbo can gain you mpg if done right and the boost is always available. Nitrous is an off and on setup and you only use the gas when you tell it to. Nitrous is consumed at a rate of about 1 lb of gas for every 10 seconds of a 100 HP boost.

Thats some good knowledge. If I had a 4.8 I'd go nitrous.

    Ask Virgil/Mean05 what a 175 shot does on a 4.8L engine.

Thanx guys it looks like nitrous is the winner and if I did it it would be a 100 shot max. But out of curiosity what happened to him? Did it blow sky high? Oh and is the ZEX wet kit a good choice?
